Bumburing: Umno thought I was ‘opposition’ even then

By Joseph Bingkasan of FMT
KOTA KINABALU: Former Barisan Nasional MP Wilfred Bumburing, stung by a remark from Sulaman assemblyman Hajiji Mohd Noor, said he was often labeled “an opposition” whilst in BN for raising matters affecting Sabahans in parliament.
Hajiji, who is Tuaran Umno chief, had accused Bumburing of being an “opportunist”.
Hajiji held that when Bumburing was in the government and a minister, he sang the praises of the BN every day but was now saying the opposite.
Voters, Hajiji said, should judge for themselves which is glass and which is crystal.

Wiramuda Star persoal peranan sebenar Bumburing

Bumburing’s frontman, PKR leader in punch-up

Despite Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim’s assurance
that all is well in Sabah PKR, skirmishes between
original and 'new' party members indicate otherwise.
KOTA KINABALU: All is not good within Sabah PKR, if a recent punch-up in Kota Belud is any indication.
A heated argument over who is the “more rightful” PKR candidate in Sabah led to punches between two local leaders from Kota Belud.
The punch-up was between the leaders of “PKR ori (originals)” and PKR photocopy (Wilfred Bumburing’s Angkatan Perubahan sabah-APS- members)
Mail Balinu, who is with APS, was allegedly flattened with one blow by one Minsin Sompong, from the other faction.

‘Jeffrey desperate because STAR falling apart’

By Joseph Bingkasan
Angkatan Perubahan Sabah chief Wilfred Bumburing
has reminded STAR's Jeffrey Kitingan of his own
"cari makan politics" past.
KOTA KINABALU: Tuaran MP Wilfred Bumburing believes that State Reform Party (STAR) chief Jeffrey Kitingan’s incessant attacks on him is because of Angkatan Perubahan Sabah’s (APS) increasing presence in KadazanDusunMurut areas.
Bumburing said it was now obvious that Jeffrey, who’s been claiming absolute strength in KDM areas, was “desperate” because “STAR is falling apart since the formation of APS”.
He said the dissolution of the STAR Papar division last month with the exit of well-known activist Patrick Sindu and more than 1,000 members was an indication of the beginning. All of them joined PKR.

Is APS eating away into STAR turf?

Wilfred Bumburing's APS which Anwar Ibrahim tasked
to garner support for the opposition from the
natives is confident that the tide is turning.
KOTA KINABALU: Anwar Ibrahim may be a happier man these days with the positive sounds coming out of Sabah.
Going by what Angkatan Perubahan Sabah (APS) speakers are saying at each of its roadshows held around the state since its formation on July 29, Pakatan Rakyat is on a solid footing and the Barisan Nasional’s fixed deposit state is very much in play in the coming general election.
APS headed by Tuaran MP Wilfred Bumburing which has been tasked by Anwar to garner support for the opposition, especially from the natives is confident that it has begun swinging support for the opposition coalition in Kadazandusun and Murut majority constituencies in the state.

Bumburing and Jeffrey in face-off

STAR is being accused of splitting the Kadazan, Dusun, Murut (KDM)
communities' votes in Sabah and handing BN a measure of
confidence that it can prolong its hold.
KOTA KINABALU: Two Kadazandusun opposition leaders here are going toe-to-toe over who has the more credible solution to what they claim is the great rip-off of Sabah and its people.
Maverick Sabah politician Jeffrey Kitingan has taken a hard line on ‘Malayan’ parties and has accused opposition leaders of being turncoats no better than the all-dominating Barisan Nasional ruling coalition they are castigating for rejecting his Borneo agenda that focuses exclusively on the rights of Sabah and Sarawak.
On the other side is Wilfred Bumburing, a MP who has turned independent and is leading Angkatan Perubahan Sabah (APS), a opposition-friendly grouping that sees Jeffrey’s brand of Borneo-centric politics as out of touch with reality.

Star slams Bumburing : You are a traitor !

By Daniel John Jambun
Mr Daniel John Jambun is a Deputy Chairman of State Reform
Party (Star) for Sabah Chapter, and also President of
UK-based Borneo's Plight in Malaysia Foundation (BoPi MaFo)
KOTA KINABALU :  The statement by Upko defector Wilfred Mojilip Bumburing in the local media on Tuesday that the Orang Asal, especially the Kadazandusun and Murut, should not pin their hopes on State Reform Party (Star) is patently mischievous, misconceived and misleading.

It should be condemned in no uncertain terms by all right-thinking Sabahans, deplored and exposed as "the mother of all lies" by a political has-been who shamelessly continues to be a stooge of the local proxies of the Malayan masters.

Trouble in Sabah: PKR’s ‘ori’ vs ‘photocopies’

Anwar Ibrahim must come up with a quick solution
to douse the growing resentment between
original members and newcomers
KOTA KINABALU : There’s  a new catch-phrase greeting in Sabah PKR’s political circles and it is greatly divisive. The greeting is “PKR ori” or “PKR photocopy?”.
“PKR ori” refers to genuine members of the party while “photocopy” addresses those with Angkatan Perubahan Sabah (APS) and Pakatan Perubahan Sabah (PPS) who “refused” to be members of PKR.
APS is led by Tuaran MP who was once deputy president of Upko, Wilfred Bumburing, while PPS is by Lajim Ukin, a former federal deputy minister, who is also Beaufort MP.  Lajim was with Umno and is often referred to as Umno’s westcoast warlord. Their ‘defection’ was much heralded by opposition Pakatan Rakyat.
These parties are now “parked” under Pakatan and and have declared their support of Anwar Ibrahim, PKR’s de facto leader.
